A free community bus run by volunteers, connecting the villages of the Stinchar Valley to Girvan and each other.
Built by the villages, for the villages
The valley was in desperate need of a bus. Not just any bus—not a commercial route burdened by tight profit margins and corporate constraints—but a genuine, lifeline connection for the people who had been left isolated and cut off from essential services and opportunities. So, driven by necessity and solidarity, the community came together and built one themselves.

Pinmore
Home to Dinvin Motte, an Iron Age hillfort above the Assel Valley. The bus stops at the A714 bus stop and Daljarrock Hotel/Caravan Park (both hail and ride).
Pinwherry
Where the River Duisk meets the Stinchar, below its ruined castle. The bus stops at Pinwherry Field (hail and ride).
Barrhill
A Covenanter village, home to the Martyrs' Tomb walk on Cross Water. The bus stops at the Caravan Park, Community Centre, Main St (shop), and Wallace Terrace turning point (all hail and ride).
Poundland
Built around a 19th century Reformed Presbyterian kirk. The bus stops at the B734 turn off (hail and ride).
Colmonell
Watched over by three ruined castles above the River Stinchar. The bus stops at the Primary School, Community Centre, and Boars Head (all hail and ride).
Ballantrae
A harbour village at the Stinchar's mouth that lent its name to a Stevenson novel. The bus stops at Craigiemains, Kings Arms, Foreland Car Park.
Lendalfoot
A coastal hamlet on Carleton Bay, near the caves of Bennane Head. The bus stops at the Community Centre (hail and ride).
Girvan
A working harbour town looking out to Ailsa Craig on the horizon. The bus calls at the Harbour, Chalmers Arcade, Athletic Tavern, Premier (hail and ride), Ardmillan Caravan Park (hail and ride) and Girvan Academy.

Connections+ provides extra timetabled services on top of our regular routes, responding flexibly to the needs and activities of the local community. Village Link connects our surrounding villages with occasional services designed to keep smaller communities linked to each other and to the wider area. These routes run at set times to suit local needs, helping residents get where they need to go.
