Pinmore
A hamlet by Dinvin Motte, an Iron Age hillfort above the Assel Valley.

Barrhill

Why the valley relies on us
A quarter of households across Girvan and South Carrick have no car. Before this service, there was no direct daytime link between several of these villages at all.
Connecting villages to Girvan
From youth clubs and social afternoons to the GP and the shops, the bus keeps every village within reach of Girvan, and of each other.
Run by the community
A volunteer steering group from each village meets regularly to shape the routes and timetable that work for their community.
Accessible for everyone
Wheelchairs and mobility scooters can be carried with advance notice, and there's room for pushchairs too. Just let us know before you travel.
Free for everyone
No fare, no booking. Just show your membership card, posted free to every household in the valley.
How hail and ride works
You don't need a bus stop. Stand somewhere safe along the route, raise your hand, and the driver will pull over. It's that simple.

We run a reliable service five days a week. Our numbers tell a simple story: real barriers, and a service closing the gap.
Local households that do not own a car, or that rely on other forms of transport to get around.
Residents who regularly struggled to get where they needed before the service began.
